Come one, come all!

It is nice to see my work framed and on the wall. It probably sounds funny, but
I sometimes forget how much better art looks in person rather than on the computer screen. (Once I scan my work, I usually put it away for safe-keeping). Please let me know if you'd like a postcard via snail mail, and I will gladly send you one. If you don't know my email, just go to my website and click on contact. It's free to go and see the artwork, but if you'd like to swim or work out while you're there, check out the Greenbelt Aquatic and Fitness Center website for prices. The work is not in a traditional gallery setting, but rather on the walls of the lobby/atrium area of the center, definitely a good example of art integrated with life! I love how you can see trees and plants all around the work. In case you haven't been to Greenbelt, it's a wonderful, magical place and a national historic landmark. Historic Greenbelt is a planned, cooperative community, full of various paths and walkways so that you can walk to just about any place you need to go in Greenbelt. You can read more about the history here. I started teaching art classes at the Greenbelt Community Center part time back in 2005 and have especially enjoyed the sense of community there. After commuting to DC daily when I did museum work full time, Greenbelt was exactly the escape from the hustle-and-bustle that I needed.
I hope everyone enjoys the show! Another bit of news--I found out this week that I'll be included in a show called Subjective Sensibilities at Villa Julie College, an off-site location for Artscape. I'm really excited about it, and I'll post more info on that show as the date gets closer.
